Hi there.

I recently purchased a 3 Pack of DECO M4R.

I have my Main Router ARCHER C80 connected to a LITEWAVE LS1008G Gigabit Switch.

I have configured the DECOS as APs.

DECO 1 is connected to the Switch

DECO 2 is connected to DECO 1 via Ethernet Back Haul

When I connect DECO 3 to the Switch, my Wifi goes down and DECO 3 Led turns red. When I disconnect DECO 3 from the switch the Wifi starts to work.

DECO 3 connects Wirelessly without any issue, but I want it to be connected wired. I believe this is a network loop.

Am I doing something wrong? What is the correct way to achieve this?

ROUTER <LAN CABLE> SWITCH <LAN CABLE>DECO 1 <LAN CABLE> DECO 2

                                                        <LAN CABLE>DECO 3

All Decos as Access Points.

I would really appreciate any advice on this.

Thanks

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Could you please try to disable the "EasyMesh" on the Archer C80 to see whether it helped?

Could you please also help me test whether the following topology works or not:

ROUTER <LAN CABLE> SWITCH <LAN CABLE>DECO 1 <LAN CABLE> DECO 2<LAN CABLE>DECO 3

Wait for your reply and best regards.

I tried the same a few months ago with my C80 and 2x Deco M9 plus units with a switch. I also got a network loop so gave up and changed my setup removing the C80.

It could be your switch causing the problem, to rule the switch out connect the 3 Deco's directly to the C80 LAN ports and see if the Deco network works, if it does then its the switch causing the issues, if not then you know its the C80 that could be the issue.

I tested this on my C80 with my Deco's, disabling easymesh on the C80 router does resolve the issue.
