C120 camera: available versions?
I intend to purchase one C120 camera to add to two existing TAPO cameras of a different type.
As for the other TAPO devices, different hardware versions may exist, but Amazon Japan shows no information about which version they are currently sell.
Obviously, hardware-wise I would prefer the most recent model. Is that so important? (I'm also thinking that different hardware models may or may not receive firmware updates at the same time, or at all.
Please advise, thanks-

Hi,
Typically, there may be differences in hardware and individual functions between different hardware versions of the same camera model, but the main functions are the same. We can't ensure that you will have the most recent model when purchasing a camera, and you can confirm the information with the retailer when purchasing a camera.
The firmware between different hardware versions of the same camera model is different, and their firmware releases will not affect each other.
Currently, the Tapo C120 only has a V1 version.

Thank you. If the C120 comes in one version only the problem doesn't exist. Of course, in general we the clients would prefer to buy the latest hardware version, me think.
But, for the other TAPO devices I don't know if we can get any extra info from Amazon Japan other than the info directly available in their product web pages. Since in Japan TAPO products are sold via Amazon Japan only, maybe TP-Link should provide them with the hardware version info too for transparency, and perhaps sell at a discount the older version and let clients know what they are actually buying.

Hi,
Generally, it's able to find the camera's model and hardware version info on the label stuck on the box. You can try to contact the retailer to confirm the camera's hardware version when you purchase it.
