Hi

The D235 and the C225 have a /stream2 resolution set at 1280x960

However, for reference the C310 and TC65 have a very handy /stream2 resolution of 640x360

The lower resolution of the secondary stream is MUCH better for those of us managing our own NVR. It means that I can manage stream analysis on the lower resolution video whilst recording the full hi-res without incurring any real CPU overhead.

That 1280x960 resolution is more than four times the size of the 640x360 stream and causes a significant impact with several streams being decoded at the same time. It's got to a point where I don't run any analysis on some cameras and just rely on the raw footage without any motion detection or similar.

Yes, I could manage the motion detection on the camera and watch for pushed ONVIF events. However, the built-in analysis isn't close to the featureset of a centralised NVR and doesn't give me the flexibility I have become used to :)

Please can there be an option to reduce the /stream2 RTSP feed to 640x480/460 where it is not already ? (I imagine this isn't restricted to just the D235 and C225)

For reference, I am using zoneminder .. but other NVR solutions will likely have similar issues.

Hi,
Currently, different Tapo cameras support different resolution options, and there is no option to change the RTSP/Stream2 resolution.
Thank you very much for your feedback here. While we don't have any specific details that I can share about if this feature can come to the product or when it might, I'll log the feature request and pass it along to the team to evaluate.
If other users have the same request, please vote on this thread and leave your detailed usage scenario.
Best Regards
