The engineers has conducted a test and found out that it was the DoH/DoT settings that was causing the "no internet connection" and not the manual channel selection.
For now, I have turn on DoT, and use DNS mode as default, when Secure Mode is selected, all devices will lose internet connection.
Feedback has been sent to the engineers and they will update once the bug has been fixed. All is well now. Here's hoping Tp Link will release this channel selection to other models and series as well!

Could you please help me submit the Deco APP log as well?

@David-TP Hi. David. After uploading this firmware, all mobile clients disappeared. They were on 1.6.3 .
And there is also an error in 1.6.3 (official firmware) , when you connect a backup channel, through Hotpoint, the DDNS service does not work (No-IP) - it says no connection. When the wired Internet is everything is fine

Hi, Nice to see you again.
It appears the 1.6.4 doesn't work as well as I expected.
By the way, the last time I received your feedback, it was still about Deco X50-5G.
Can I have some screenshots of your network maps on the Deco APP, such as:
Could you please also help me submit the Deco APP log-How to submit Deco APP log?
I'll check with the engineer to see whether he has other suggestions.
Thanks again and best regards.

5 attempts and finally got it to upgrade both X50 Decos.
A slight improvement as the devices have reconnected after the upgrade without intervention or powering off.
No disconnections after 4 hours.
CPU is always 100%.
The satellite X50 is either connected with 0 clients, connected with the correct number of clients, or offline.
Client connections are shown incorrectly for wired and wireless.
Connection preference is missing.
The 3 M9-Plus units have stayed online for the 4 hours.
