I keep getting errors trying to update.

I see the new beta firmware in the UI but trying to update keeps giving me "Unable to connect to the cloud server. Please try again later."

 

I also tried uploading the firmware from this thread (no luck either), I'm getting "Upload error".

 

I have both BE800 (the main AP) and a "slave" unit BE550 (with wireless backhaul) paired with easymesh.

My home router is OPNSense and both the BE800 and BE550 are in AP mode (like was finally possible with version 1.1.99).

 

Note that I was able to update the BE550 from the BE800's interface, simply by clicking the update at the bottom there (the screenshot is post update):

 

Seems like I'm currently stuck on 1.1.99 on the BE800 though.

 

Also worth mentioning, there seem to be a mismatching information regarding the hardware version. The UI says v1.0 (and always did, even before I updated for the first time).

But the sticker on the back of the device says Ver: 1.6. Probably not related but worth mentioning.

Please restart (power off, wait for one minute, and then power on) the BE800 and ensure it's connecting to the internet properly, then try again to upgrade the firmware via the online upgrade.

 

If that still fails, please try manually upgrading the firmware by downloading the provided firmware here in my original post. Make sure you've unzipped the firmware file before uploading it into the router. Here is the guide for your reference: How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers (Case 1).

You're correct. The US version has been published officially via the Cloud, so they can detect it via the online upgrade.

As replied to Onyx2024, I believe your BE800 is a US version. The US version has already been published.

 

We're offering early access to this official version through the community for those unable to detect it via the online upgrade.

Yep lots of drops here, I changed my name of 2,4Ghz and hide it, so no SmartConnect. Have to keep 2.4 running, cause I need it, else IoT Wifi 2.4 is not there :-/
So will test now further on.

 

Maybe it was somewhere written, but can't downgrade firmware anymore, upload error.

How are the two AXE75s connected to the main BE800? via Ethernet Backhaul (cable) or wireless backhaul (wireless)?

 

Could you please verify what are the wireless settings on the BE800 in more detail? Are you saying the Smart Connect is disabled on the BE800 and the 2.4G network is hidden? Which band or frequency is not stable in this setup?

I have the same problem with BE-800 and Tado internet bridge that has been reported on BE-550, after upgrading to 1.2.1 Build 20250108 rel.48985(4555) I lost connection with Tado
