Model: Tapo C120
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.31

I've recently switched from Blink to Tapo about 3 months ago, but the camera in the garden has suddenly started to light up throughout the night. This started about 2 weeks ago.

The alarm function is turned off, I've triple checked, however it still sets the light off whenever any motion is detected. I've had to turn the motion detection off at the minute, otherwise it's lighting up every couple of minutes.

Ive rebooted the camera, checked multiple times the alarm is off, and decided to switch the motion back on last night. Woken up to see that the light was on and off all night again whenever there was the slightest of motions.

Any suggestions? If not, I'll be taking it all down and going back to Blink

  @CameraCraig

Check the night mode settings on the camera, you can choose whether the white light is needed when it is dark: camera Device Settings >Video & Dispay > Night Mode Settings.

  @Wayne-TP thank you so much, that's resolved the issue!! I don't know how or why it suddenly changed recently, but your suggestion has fixed it.
