Hello,

 

I cannot upgrade firmware through TapoApp which shows that update is available. The app show current firmware version 1.0.17 and update version 1.3.16. However the update always fails.

 

The camera is sitting next to router and there are no firewalls/antiviruses or DNS obstacles.

 

Please advise.

Typically, you can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot when fail to update the camera's firmware.
What to do if firmware update of my Tapo smart devices fails?
 

In your situation, you can try to enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can update the firmware successfully.
