Hi there,
Thanks for sharing your experience with the pre-release firmware.I wanted to ask — in your case, did all of your devices lose internet connection, or was it only some of them?
In my case (also using the BE800 router), only certain devices seem to suffer — they stay connected to Wi-Fi but lose almost all packets (90%+ packet loss), while others continue working fine. A reboot fixes it temporarily, just like you described.Would be helpful to compare cases. Thanks!
Hello @TaKeN, are you also using EasyMesh satellite devices in the GE800 network? What are they? And how are they connected to the GE800?
What are the devices that suffer from the disconnection? What if you disconnect and reconnect to the network on the devices? Will it also fix the connectivity?

The screenshots are from BE800 1.2.3 Build 20250314 rel.45415(4555) v1.
It is very annoying to be impossible to have freedom of choosing whatever service want for DoH/ Dot.
@Ovidiuss could you please post a direct link to the DNS server that you want to configure on the BE800? If you're not allowed to post it, you can use <.> instead of .
Are they https://extended.dns.mullvad.net/dns-query and https://base.dns.mullvad.net/dns-query?
I consulted with the dev team, and they confirmed that this x means that the DoH request sent to this server does not respond effectively under your current network environment. If possible, please check if you can use other DNS servers, for example, try https://dns.google/dns-query.
BTW, does the DoH work properly in your network when you choose those from the dropdown list?

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your interest and follow-up!
Yes, I’m currently in contact with TP-Link engineers and we're trying to diagnose the issue together.
As I mentioned, my situation is a bit different — in my case, only some devices randomly start experiencing 90%+ packet loss while others remain perfectly fine and connected. Rebooting either the affected device or the router itself usually fixes the issue temporarily. It's strange because other devices connected at the same time have no problem at all.
Still investigating what exactly causes this behavior.

Yes those secured DNS servers from Mullvad are the ones i want to use.
Setting up google DNS works like a charm as you can see in following screenshot:
Just look at google DNS testing result: (the only problem is not secured thats why the test is red)
Setting up with DoT works (the only issue is very slow) see screenshots
Meanwhile i have wrote to Mullvad support again quoting your fragment discussion with your dev team, awaiting some answers but i do not have too high hopes
The interesting part is if i use the secured mullvad dns in "other" brand router all working just fine.
I would like to suggest opening a separate forum thread "BE/GE series routers DoH/Dot testing with secured DNS service providers"
Best Regards
Ovi

I did not test disconnecting the 2 BE550s.
I have the LEDs turned off on the GE800 & BE550s.
I have the BE550s daisy chained to the GE800 through ethernet cables.

@JC222 Got you. I will report this concern to the dev team to check if they can reproduce it.
BTW, could you please kindly clarify what the client devices are connected to the network, wired and wirelessly? How about their OS versions? Thank you very much.
