Losing sound with long periods of streaming
We use our C200 camera as a baby monitor and from our child is put to bed and during the evening and through the night we will have the stream live on an iPad.
The issue we are having is that sound will cut out at some point during the night meaning we wake up in the morning realizing that there is no sound present even though the image is still running without any issues.
This is an intermittent issue and some nights sound will still be present in the morning other times it will have stopped playing sound during the night with the video feed still running.
The connection is stable in that it doesn't cut out, and we're not interrupted every 5 minutes from being on a different network seeing that both camera and iPad is on the same network.
This has always been an issue since we got the camera, I think we've had it for close to a year at this point.
Current app version on iPad is iOS 18.4.1, although as mentioned this isn't a new issue.
This issue seems to have been ignored when previously asked - hopefully this will be given the right attention at some point.
To answer some questions raised on another thread ->
1) How often does this issue happen? Intermittently -
Probably once every two weeks.
2) Please check if the camera's microphone is turned off when there is no sound present on the Tapo app>Live view page. -
Microphone is not turned off
3) Please check if your phone's volume is 0 when there is no sound present. -
Ipad's volume is not turned off or to 0 (closing and opening the app solves the issue without touching any settings of the Ipad
4) If you go out from the camera's live view page and go back again, will the sound be present again?
Have not tried this - usually we just close the app and launch again.
The Ipad does not enter any of the focus modes at all.
Thanks
