Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.6.5 Build 20241231 Rel. 41802

How can I connect all three of my Deco M4 units in a central location instead of using a daisy-chain setup? I have an ER605 configured for my PPPoE connection, but when I connect all the Deco units directly to it, they don't seem to recognize the Ethernet backhaul.

  @Hyperfire

To make it work, configure Deco mesh to run in Access Point mode: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/kb/detail/334

  @Alexandre. I tried switching them to access point mode but they are still not recognising each other when connected to the ER 605. The only way they recognise each other is when connected directly to the deco units by Daisy chain

  @Hyperfire

Hi, maybe you can install the latest 1.7.0 firmware here to see whether it helps:

Deco M4_V1/V2_1.7.0 Official Ready for Test!

By the way, when you mentioned "they are still not recognising each other when connected to the ER 605", do you mean the satellite units can't use Ethernet Backhaul on the Deco APP?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP Hi. Yes. The ethernet backhaul is only recognised when the deco is directly connected to the other deco via ethernet. They're not detecting each other when they're all connected to a single source i.e a switch or a router. I'll try flashing the firmware you provided. My hardware version is 2.8. Hopefully it is compatible
