Can a device on the guest network talk to devices on other networks?
Hi, I have quite a weird setup. First I have my main network where I have most of my devices. Then I have an IoT network where I have some smart outlets and other stuff. I have a Tapo C100 security camera which I send an rtsp stream from to my old laptop for monitoring. I previously had those on my main network, but I wanted to move them to the IoT network. But for some reason, when I add the camera to that network, the rtsp stream stops to work entierly, even when the laptop is on the same network. The laptop stops being able to see the camera at all. I then moved both to the guest network instead and then the rtsp stream worked again.
The monitoring software I use for the camera on the laptop automatically records any activity and saves it as a local mp4 file, which is then sent automaticallty to my main PC where I have a DAS connected, so the file is moved to the DAS from the laptop --> to the PC and then to the DAS over the network. That whole thing stopped working (obviously) when the laptop was no longer on the same network as the main PC.
So, my question is. Is there any way to get my laptop on the guest network to talk with my PC on the main network to get that whole automatic backup to work? Or is it the only way to have both on the same network?
