Hello Ian, it sounds like you are interested in network equipment (playing with routers
). We are also glad that you chose us, and your performance has been quite good (especially with our Deco BE85, not including the client list concern).
I hope our development team can resolve the client list issue for you soon.
@Kevin_Z As I mentioned I swapped back in my RBE97x devices, but today trying to install Netgear Armor it says my security subscription has expired, not exactly impressed as the Orbi router app. says it expires in June 2026!!
So I may be back to the GE800 sooner than I expected.
You understand that selecting clients for various things like Game Boost and WTFast is important with the gaming router except that I often can't because of the client list problem.
If I return to using the GE800 I'll reply to the email from support ... and see how we go.

Hello @Pro-gamer @Innocentone
I've just updated the pre-release firmware download link to a new version that is based on the latest 1.2.1 official version.
I hope you can update to this latest version and let me know how it works in your network.
Thank you very much!

Will do, when son is finished playing ARK.
@raven-au well that's disappointing.
A while after updating the firmware I rebooted the router and had to disable DoT because nothing worked.
I've seen this before at least once under slightly different settings so this seems broken.
At the moment, a few hours after the above reboot, I have no client list at all which is not exactly a fix for
the broken client list.
I also noticed that I can't downgrade, I guess that was mentioned in the notes but introducing unstable
features and preventing a revert is not going to work too well, particularly since you don't bother to update
your web site with new firmware, like is 1.2.1 ok for use in AU, if so why is it not present on the download
pages for AU. Of course I'm assuming the released 1.2.1 is the point at which you can't downgrade below ...

Hello @Kevin_Z
Using GE800 v1, I have trouble with logging in to some of my games (Honkai Star Rail, Genshin). They have delay at login screen (at least 30s), like the game seems to have issue when contacting server for 30s, then can proceed normally.
Only happen with Mihoyo games, I have no issue with my other games like Wuthering Waves or Fate GO.
Only happen at logging stage, I can play game normally after logging in.
Only happen when connecting to router by wireless. When I play wired there is no issue.
Happen on PC and multiple mobiles devices (Android and iOS phones, iPad)
I think it happens from when AI QoS feature is introduced, as I start encountering this issue when trying recent beta firmwares last 2 months and don't see this in 1.1.6 stable firmware.
Do you have any idea on what I should try to resolve this?
Things I have tried:
- Enable and Disable AI QoS and gaming feature
- Update to latest beta 1.2.2 and reset router settings
- Reinstall affected games
- Reset network settings on client devices (iPhone, iPad, Android phones)

Kevin: I'm sorry to hear that. Does this mean the internet stops working if you keep the DoT enabled? Which DoT server were you using on the GE800?
If the pre-release 1.2.2 is not working correctly in your network, please try downgrading to the official 1.2.1 version to see if the internet is functioning correctly when enabling DoT.

Kevin: For the client list concern, I hope you can work with our engineering team to investigate it further, as that requires the development team's involvement.

Kevin: You are right. The latest 1.2.1 official version doesn't allow downgrading to the previous 1.1.x version due to significant firmware modifications.
This 1.2.1 version is officially published on the website, such as the global website. However, there is a delay on the local websites, as they regularly publish the firmware on Fridays. You can check the local website for the latest version, which could be available by the end of the week.

@ShiroNek0 Have you tried upgrading to the latest official/stable firmware, which is 1.2.1 Build 20250610? If not, please download it from the global website and install it manually to see if the mentioned game server works properly.
BTW, what gaming features do you use on the GE800? Were there any changes before and after upgrading to the AI QoS firmware?
What is the network speed like when connecting to the GE800 via wireless? Is the wireless speed affected after installing the AI QoS firmware? Which band do you connect to on the phone and iPad? Please try other bands to check if the issue persists.

@Kevin_Z Thanks for helping. I have not tried latest stable 1.2.1 Build 20250610, as it is not availabe for my region yet (Japan). My router also refuse to install 1.2.1 from global version.
If you have link to the build for JP ver, please share it.
I don't use any gaming feature, just try to turn it on/off during testing the connection.
Wireless speed is fine before and after AI QoS, I can reach max speed 2-2.5 Gbps with low ping in either cases. But beta firmware is more reliable, no random disconnect with router, so I don't want to revert to 1.1.6
I also tested with multiple band (2.4 & 5Ghz, MLO, 6Ghz), the problem presents in all bands.

raven-au: Yes, I used dns.quad9.net on two occasions and changed to the google servers the last time it happened, not sure I gave the google server a fair chance though.
The last time I did this I was using 1.2.1.

raven-au: I've sent a reply to a mail I received from support ... not sure I'll be able to do much though because I have changed back to my BE85s and I'm not sure when I will be able to return to the GE800. There's been quite a bit of inconvenience and the family is getting a bit unhappy ... not to mention I really do need to get some work done ...

@Kevin_Z by the way, I'm beginning to wonder if I have faulty nvram, two or three times now I have rebooted to find the router has reverted to factory default settings.
It's possible there is nvram corruption not due to a hardware fault too I suppose.
Not sure though ...
