  @jfunk my internet speed is 4gb down 4gb up. look, it's like this, old routers have 1GB port then we did QOS 800mps down and up depends if Upload under 1GB is 700 600 mps. but now it doesn't matter because even if your internet is under 1GB, the router port is 10GB, therefore 10GB down is 10GB up. Have you tried it as I set it?

  @Pro-gamer I think you're missing the point here.  You're not saturating your link.  You have 4Gb of bandwidth and your test is only using 1.1 down / 1.6 up.  QoS isn't doing anything for you because you don't have any congestion on your link.  You have to stress the link to test if the QoS does anything for you.  There's nothing for QoS to do when every packet gets passed without queueing.

  @jfunk Okay, I understand very well what you mean. Even if I set the QoS to 1GB, the ping drops and I get 1GB instead of 4GB. QoS works well. I think we should wait for Kevin's answer on Monday, maybe TP-Link will solve this QoS problem with updates.

Hey, I’m curious, how did you manage to get back to version 116? It’s not working for me at all! Would you mind walking me through the steps? I’d really appreciate it!

  @Bauhaus

Connect a computer to the router via a wire and make sure you can connect to it in your browser.

Download the 116 firmware from the regular download page here https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-ge800/v1/  (select your appropriate hardware version depending on your region. Note this is not described very clearly, but in my case my US version that says hardware V1.6 on the box actually = hardware version 1).

Hold down the reset button on the router for a long time (~20 seconds)

Go to 192.168.0.1 in your browser and refresh until it comes up to the firmware install screen.

If it boots back up to your current firmware asking you to set an admin password, you didn't hold the button down long enough.

  @jfunk

Thank you very much.
Just one last thing. Did you downgrade from v1.2.1  or directly from a beta version?

  @Bauhaus 1.2.1 showed up within the router's user interface, at least it did for me.  Did they pull it?  It's not on the website

I was on 1.21 downloaded OTA.  I did not install the beta 122 version

  @Kevin_Z

How long does it usually take for TP-Link engineers to release a stable firmware version after the beta?

One thing I’d like to point out is that the Polish version of the firmware update page hasn’t been updated since... never!!! It would be great if the page included all previously available firmware versions, as well as the new stable one, which isn’t even listed yet.

The timeline is uncertain because it will largely depend on the progress made in addressing feedback from community. The QA team must ensure that the official firmware has undergone rigorous processes and been verified stable.

Regarding the official firmware update on the local website, I will feedback to the website admin and hope they will update it as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can check for the latest official version from the global website instead, the global website is updated timely.
