Camera has worked well since installation - very well and was thinking of getting more.

However, a few days ago I noticed no camera feed on the app, Camera was blinking RED. I powered on a off the camera and it returned to the RED  blinking led only.

I then completed a factory reset which was successfull but when I got to the stage where the led was blinking red/green and the app asking to connect to the cameras TAPO_CAM_XXXX  local wifi signal, my phone could not see this local wifi. I did multiple recans to see if I could detect the local camera wifi but no luck.

I did multiple camera factory resets (including the voice message confirming reset) but still no sign of the TAPO_CAM_XXXX local wifi signal.

I am using original power supply unit

No problem with house wifi connectivity until this problem and there has been NO changes to my wifi networks.

Summary

Camera wifi connectivity lost - Cannot see or access 'TAPO_CAM_XXXX' wifi signal during connection process.

  @Liamo

Hi,
Please confirm the following information if you can't find the default SSID of the camera.

  1. Please remove the camera from the Tapo app if it's there. Remove the SD card from the camera if there is one.

  2. Does the camera have a flashing red and green light after you perform a factory reset? If not, press the reset button for 10 seconds again and check the LED status on the camera.

  3. If the LED is flashing red and green, please test with different devices, such as mobile phones and computers, to check if you can see the default SSID from the camera on these devices.

If the camera's LED does not change when performing a factory reset or the default SSID does not appear on different devices, you can contact your retailer or our local team to check if the camera is under warranty.

Best Regards
