Model: Tapo H500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

I have had the H500 for a few days. I have 9 Tapo cameras in my house (models C210, C220, C225, C230). All are supported by the H500 and have the latest firmware.

As I wanted to add all the cameras to the new hub with the "Connected devices - Add a new device - Connect existing devices" function, 5 of my 9 cameras were shown as "unavailable" for adding to the H500, because they are "not on the same network".

This had nothing to do with the camera model, because some C210s could be added and others not.

My network is a AVM Fritzbox 4060 router (2.4/5 GHz Wifi 6) with 3 repeaters configured as a Mesh. The H500 is connected via LAN. So it's one network and that message is confusing.

But I thought it could have to do with the Wifi configuration. I rebooted all the "unavailable" cameras to make them reconnect to the Wifi. For most of them, they could then be added to the H500. For some cameras, several reboots were required.

There was one camera which could not be added, despite many reboots. It was the closest to the router, while the other cameras were all connected to one of the repeaters. I moved the camera to a different floor, and connected it there. Now it could be added to the H500. Once it was added, it could be moved back to the old position.

On Amazon Germany, there are several reviews complaining about this problem, so this solution might help others.

Thank you for sharing! May i know which device the H500 is connected to? The router (which port?) or the repeater?

Hi,

My router Fritzbox 4060 is in the basement, connected to a TP-Link 24 port switch which serves the LAN in the house (4 floors)

The H500 is in the living room, connected to a 8 port switch which is connected to the LAN wall outlet.

The Wifi is provided by the Fritzbox and 3 Fritz repeaters which are connected to the LAN (LAN bridge mode) through the 24 port switch.

Thanks
