  @Olasko

Hi, it would be great if you could send an email to Contact Technical Support.

(Please leave me a message with the support ticket ID, thanks.)

I see the reported case of @badsheep has been forwarded to the senior engineer. The engineer has provided a beta firmware for testing.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

I'm just running a VPN on the affected devices, everything works but with a bit of a bandwidth hit.

Hopefully they fix this soon, so annoying.

I purchased a BE230 (wifi turned off) today and ran the 3x BE65 in ap mode and it works perfect again. This is a temporary work around but its cost me another $250 for the BE230.

I have the exact same problem currently with firmware 1.1.7. All my portable devices won't/can't connect to any google service without using a VPN or mobile data.

My PC's connected via ethernet work just fine but the TV connected via ethernet won't.

I was hoping 1.2 would fix it but that seems unlikely.

My Deco BE65 (v2) on firmware 1.2.0 blocks Google, YouTube, and Gmail. All other sites work fine.

Plugging my PC directly into the fibre modem works perfectly, proving the issue is the Deco.

Troubleshooting Done:

  • Multiple factory resets

  • Swapped main Deco unit

  • Manual DNS (1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8)

  • Flushed DNS cache

  • Changed router MAC address

  @David-TP

after countless communications with techsupport and NBN,

what i have done so far with TPlink tech support

- clone mac address

- disabled beam foaming

- rebooted NTU

- disable VPN

- used a spare satellite and converted it to main

- set weekly reboot to nightly reboot

still the same issue, internet drops randomly, LED is red, forced to reboot. i dont think its a hardware issue as i have used all 3 of my satellite as main. didnt get this problem with 1.1.7 firmware.

  @David-TP  thank you for the reply. Rather disappointing as a few of us here are experiencing the same issues on v 1.2.0. I've kept my warranty replacement units on firmware 1.1.7, noting the app is bugging me to update to v1.2.0, and I wont' until TP Link sort out the bugs; which leads to me also let you know v1.1.7 is buggy too, but nowhere near as critical bug wise as 1.2.0.

  @Zonk76

Hi, can I have the model number of the mobile devices that randomly disconnected from the Deco WiFi?

I'll follow up on your case via email and check with the senior engineer to see whether he has any other suggestions.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
