Phenomenon:
We have been alerted to an unintended behavior where the client devices may fail to access the internet when connected to the Archer BE230/BE3600 via a VPN. You may experience a situation as one of the following:
-
When configured for PPPoE dial-up and a WireGuard VPN Client is created on the Archer BE230/BE3600, wireless clients connected to the VPN may be unable to access the internet. (Reported by Jackye01 in the thread)
-
When the Archer BE230/BE3600 is set up as an L2TP VPN server, all connected clients may lose Internet access. (Reported by MiroslawD in the thread)
Workaround/Solution:
To help correct this unintended behavior, our development team has provided a beta firmware. If you have experienced this anomaly, please upgrade and install the beta software on your Archer BE230/BE3600 to check if you can access the internet via the VPN.
