Description:

I have two Tapo C120 cameras. One of them shows clear and crisp video, but the other onVideo Quality Issue on One of My Tapo C120 Camerase appears slightly blurry or out of Video Quality Issue on One of My Tapo C120 Camerasfocus. The video quality is noticeably less sharp compared to the other camera.

 

Can you please advise how this can be fix?

  @balkris i already reset the camera and re add it on my account but still the video or image is not shart compared to the other tapo C120

Hi,
Please confirm the following information about the video quality phenomenon.
 
1. Is the video quality set to 2K on both Tapo C120 cameras' live view page?
2. While viewing a camera's live feed, please check how many other devices are viewing the same camera's live feed simultaneously, whether locally or remotely.
3. Please manually record a short video clip, say 10 seconds, on both cameras' live view page, download it to your phone, and then send it to us for analysis.

 

You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Both camera are set to 2k reso

Im the only one viewing it

I have 500mbps connection

I view it using local network (same wifi) and using mobile date but issue is still the same.

 

One of my brother also noticed this on his tapo. There are camera that have sharp video and some are soft.

Hi,
Thank you for providing the videos. 
From the analysis of the videos, the video quality between the two cameras is quite similar, although one camera appears slightly more blurred. This might be due to the complexity of the scene within its monitoring range.

You might consider adjusting the angle of that camera, perhaps by tilting it down to the left to minimize the visibility of nearby leaves in the monitoring area. Additionally, you could swap the positions of the two C120 cameras to compare and check whether the video quality is related to the scene being monitored.

Its kinda hard to swap since i alread fix it there. I also have another here with same issue. There might be batches of tapo c120 that you release that its not sharp.

 

 Would you like me to send another two tapo comparison? I have anther. I do have 4 cctv.

Okay ill send now. Another tapo. I bought like 10 tapo already looks like most of them are not sharp You might need to so firmware update

Hi,
Confirm one more information:
Are all the videos you provided recorded by different Tapo C120 V1? If other camera models record videos, please provide the camera model number, hardware, and firmware version. And confirm which video is recorded by the new camera.

All of them are tapo c120 v1.0 version 1.3.1 but there is one camera showing 1.3.2 version

 

See the other footage? The blurry are even worst. There is no sharpness on the leaves while other 2 tapo does have

After analysis and comparison, among the three videos you provided in the new link, two cameras have normal video quality, while one camera, whose video is named "1756182073417_0", may have issues. 
Could you please provide the MAC address of the camera corresponding to this video? You can send me (@Solla-topee) the MAC address via a private message.
Then, you can contact your retailer or our local support to check if the camera is still under warranty.
