I have not found the recording of movement brilliant with this camera but I have an issue. 

 

The camera picks up movement towards the house, albeit a little late, but it does not pick up the movement back down the drive. 

 

Last night I saw my Son-in-law arrive up the drive but there is no recording of his 'return journey'. 

 

I feel I have followed every step of the install as closely as possible. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, 
In your situation, you can enable the Notification feature on your camera and then check if you can receive a detection notification when the event is not recorded by the camera.
How to configure the Notification feature for the Tapo devices on the Tapo app
 

>> If you can receive a detection notification but no recording, the reported phenomenon may be related to your recording settings. Have you stored the video clips on an inserted SD card or our cloud server? Please send us screenshots of the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recordings page, as well as the Local Storage and Recording Schedule pages.

 

>> If you can't receive a detection notification, the reported phenomenon may be that the camera can't detect the event. You can refer to Part 2 in the following instructions to troubleshoot.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?

If the phenomenon persists, please send us screenshots of the camera's Detection page, as well as the pages for the enabled detection types and detection zones. Then, please send us a video showing the event that can't be detected.

You can upload the video and screenshots to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
