Videos downloading as black screen 0 minutes
Trying to download footage from today but they download as black images,0 minutes and 0 seconds. Yesterday I had no issues.
I am able to watch them back in playback and can download snapshots (pictures) in live view without issue. I cannot click the record button in live view and download the view. I get an error saying this video is damaged.
I have tried on three devices, a Google pixel pro 6, Google pixel 4 and Samsung S9 tablet. Its the same issues on all 3.

Hi,
You can try the following steps and check if they help.
1. Ensure the Tapo app is the latest one. If not, go to Google Play to download and install the latest Tapo app.
2. Turn off your camera and turn it back on, then check if you can manually record videos on the camera's Live View page.
3. Go to the camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value. If the RSSI value is less than -60 dBm, move the camera closer to the router and check if this helps.

1. It is the latest version.
2. I did turn it off and back on again. Please see original post regarding being unable to record within live view.
3. I have checked this and it's -61. There isn't an issue with the connection to the WiFi.
The issue seems to be the save files for videos as though they are saving in the wrong format/ corrupt. I am trying to download them from the SD card installed in the camera.
I will attempt to plug the SD card into my pc to recover that way and update here after trying.

Hi,
If your camera is set to record video continuously, you can go to the Playback & Download > Playback > SD card page to download the video recordings you need.
If you still want to record video manually on the camera's Live View page, please uninstall the Tapo app on your phone, copy this link, paste it into a web browser, click Enter to download the Tapo debug app, and then install the debug app on your phone. After that, please check if you can record video manually on the camera's Live View page.
