when it's dark the camera freezes and restard when I press the icon to turn on the spotlights
Hi, i'm having a problem with the Tapo C325WB, when i try to change the video settings to the spotlights-on mode or press the light bulb icon to turn them on, the camera freezes for a few seconds and gives me this error: "Failed, try again later" and
and does not save the changes. Sometimes it works but then today it gave me this error again. The camera is configured correctly and all the others are fine, what could be the problem? i also asked for the spotlights-on and spotlights-off setting to be added to this model, but the firmware that could fix the problem hasn't been released yet. Do you have any updates? this is the thread https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/840808?sortDir=ASC&page=2 Thanks

Hi,
For the reported freeze phenomenon, please confirm the following information.
1. Will you have the freeze phenomenon when changing the operation mode on the camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Night Mode Settings page?
2. What's the model number and OS version of your phone? What's the Tapo app version?
3. Have you powered the camera with the original power adapter and cord, without an extension power cord?
The new firmware that supports the "Spotlights Off" mode on the Night Mode Settings page is not available yet. We suggest paying attention to the Firmware Release Notes column on the Tapo C325WB V2's Support page on our official website to see if new firmware is available.

1. Yes
2. SM-S938B Android 16, tapo 3.14.519
3. yes i have adapted an extension power cord
The problem is currently gone and it works properly for nowi also see the image in color with the lights off, and i don't understand how this is possible if I have the v2 version and it's set to infrared mode. Sometimes when I close and reopen the app i see black and white and it crashes when I try to change the light settings or turn the light on. I think there's a hardware or firmware issue with this model when switching from normal mode to lights on mode, it's as if it's struggling to find the right scene to adjust the video settings in night mode
since when it's daytime and i try to turn on the spotlights or change settings, it has no problems.

Hi,
When the Tapo C352WB V2 operates in Day Mode, it displays colorful images without the spotlights on. It is only when the camera automatically switches to Night Mode due to insufficient ambient light that the operation mode selected in the camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Night Mode Settings takes effect. Based on your description, I believe your camera is functioning properly.
The crash phenomenon you are experiencing may be related to the use of an extension power cord. For instance, with an extension power cord in use, the camera may experience insufficient voltage or current at night(when the camera activates the infrared LED or other auxiliary functions, its power consumption may be higher than during the day), which may cause it to crash when attempting to turn on the spotlight. It's hard to guarantee the camera's performance when connected to a third-party extension cord, so I recommend using the original power adapter and power cord with the camera to ensure stability and safety.
