You can follow the instructions below to troubleshoot if you can't successfully configure the camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure Tapo Camera?
 

Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.

  1. What's the model number of your router? Do you have internet when connecting to your router's Wi-Fi?

  2. What's the LED status on the camera when configuring it? Please remove the camera from the Tapo app if it's there, but display an offline state. Then press and hold the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds to factory reset it. When the camera has a flashing green and red light, try to set it up in the Tapo app.

  3. If your router's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks have the same name and password, it's recommended to set a different name for the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, then test if you can successfully set up the camera.

  4. You can enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can successfully set it up.
