Tapo iOS running in background

This post doesn't refer to any hardware product but to the Tapo app running on my iPad. The app is draining my battery when running in the background. This is despite having turned Tapo off in background app refresh. Can somebody please advise how to stop this. Thank you.

Hi,
The apps running in the background on a phone or iPad usually drain its battery. If you don't need to view or manage Tapo devices, you can force close the Tapo app.
