Today I get the same problem with this thread.
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/677208
I do solve the issue by connecting 2.5G port form isp modem to my Notebook first then switch back to main Deco and it worked somehow. But the problem will occur again if I close or restart the modem need to do those method again every time. Any thought?
Also my phone (WiFi 5 with 433 link speed) still get less WiFi speed form Deco compare to isp (just Wifi6 ax3000). Isp and deco connected with cat6A on 2.5G port
This is the result
ISP modem : Maximum around 350 Mbps
Main Deco (AP mode) Maximum around 300 Mbps
Main Deco (Router mode give more speed somehow) Maximum around 320 Mbps.
Maybe firmware problem? Because 1.2.1 do gives me more speed compare to 1.2.0 (speed stuck at 250 on this one)
Also my old set up with Deco x50 gives me same WiFi speed with isp modem as well.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
May I know your ISP, as well as the model number of the ISP modem router?
- Can you consistently reproduce this issue where Deco can't stably access the internet from the 2.5G port of the ISP modem router?
For the WiFi 5 devices with 433mbps, can I have the model numbers of these devices? I can't figure out the probable root cause of the lower speed(300mbps vs 350mbps). The speed is actually decent, unless we start comparing
.
I'll follow up on your case via email and ask the senior engineer for further assistance.
Please check whether you could receive my email later.
Best regards.

@David-TP UPDATE 1.2.10 failed on me today BE65 V2
Looks like a spoke too soon. I think I had 2 good days, but today the back haul speed dropped back to 90 again. The main unit remained at 900 odd.
I tried the following to resolve it (temporarily)
- Unplugged and re-plugged the back haul. I think this has worked in the past, but not today. Using the 2nd socket up from bottom.
- I rebooted the remote unit, but this surprisingly also did not work.
- I unplugged from 2nd socket and plugged into 3rd socket up and the speed was restored to 900... for now.
I foresee in the future that I'll need to move it from the 3rd socket back to the 2nd socket. Seems more likely to be a firmware issue to me.
It also highlights that randomized MAC address is detected, but I haven't found a way to keep that turned off on Android. Nor should it really be a problem since this is the default behavior for a lot of devices.

Hi, thank you very much for the update.
Later, if the Backhaul speed dropped from1 Gbps to 100mbps again, it is recommended to save a copy of the web UI system log before making any changes, as the reboot will clear the previous system logs.
(Then you can forward the log to support.forum@tp-link.com , and please add your user ID#4908624 in the subject.)
By the way, what does the network topology look like? Do you use any network switch for Ethernet Backhaul? Apart from the Decos, would there be other wired devices connected to the Deco or the network switch?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

I leave in Thailand. True corporation is my isp.
For the modem/(onu or whatever) T3 t625pro
I don't think there are much information about this model tho.
Problem still occur every time (only 2.5G port/1G port work fine) when I turn off my modem. Need to do those method again. No problem if I leave it on 24/7 tho but my family tend to forget and turn it off sometimes.
For the mobile phone
Redmi note 11 4G and Redmi note 11 pro 5G both of them act the same couldn't reach 340-350 compared to the WiFi from isp router or even my old set up with x50.
I mean 300mbps work fine. Plus the other device also work perfectly fine as well somehow (no problem with device that have more than 433 link speed). It just bother me a bit and make me wonder why this happen only with 2 of my phone.

@David-TP I see there any many log export options (CRITICAL, ERROR, INFO, etc). What do you want exported? I think the logs for the last failure might still be there as I fixed it by replacing the backhaul cable so we can try and rule that out too. If replacing the backhaul cable doesn't wipe the logs, then we should have an example logged, but I wouldn't know the exact timing of the speed drop. It's currently running fast... for now.
My network is simple. Just the 2 Deco units wired directly with no other network devices. All other devices use WiFi.
Thanks

@David-TP I have just updated to 1.2.10 beta so far so good, just wondering on wireless network mode setting: Optimal Performance or High Capacity? What is ideal on this new firmware given the following?
I have about 50-60 total wireless clients, about 1/3 of those being some form of smart IoT device that uses 2.4ghz band. Most are low data / not bandwidth hungry. Think smart appliances, smart doorbell but local recording, smart plugs smart fan etc. I am in AP mode wireless backhaul only 1 floor house. I do not use the guest or IoT network at the moment. All main network.
Related to this question, Auto or Horizontal Polarization on this new firmware? being that it is 1 floor house and all devices are within 12 ft vertically of eachother.
Thanks, just wondering if the increased stability of 1.2.10 changes my needs for the Wireless Network Mode or Polarization settings.
