It states that the base of a C720 should have glue applied to seal it.

Would silicon sealant be effective?

If the base is sealed then should that include the small square hole at the bottom of the base which looks like a drain hole?

Hi,
We recommend mounting the camera on flat walls. For uneven walls, you can apply waterproof glue (not included) between the camera and the walls after mounting. Usually, if silicone sealant is insoluble in water and does not react with water, you can use it to seal the camera base and the walls.

 

Does the small square hole you mentioned look like the one in the picture below? If so, this video (How to Install Tapo Floodlight Camera on an Existing Junction Box) will help you know how to cover it.
