Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20250917 Rel. 37734

Hello there!

I have currently 3 x XE75Pro with a pre-release firmware of 1.3.0 Build 20250917 Rel. 37734

I am looking at the Deco BE65(3-pack) and would like to know if anyone had done the switch already.

What I am very interested in the MLO and if this helps with the overall speed of the wifi (and its stability).

My Home has about 90 clients with 45 of these being IoT devices (2.4Ghz mostly).

I know that the pre-released firmware helps the 2.4Ghz devices to be well balanced.

I am also using the IoT SSID for them exclusively to separate things

@David-TP : you have helped me before and I know you can lookup my other case.

If I moved to BE65, with the official firmware, will this make my network more stable (and faster) knowing that I have a large IoT range of devices?

thanks!

/Jonas

Hi, nice to see you again.

Compared with Deco XE75 Pro, Deco BE65 supports channel and channel width selection, which will help improve the 2.4Ghz network performance.

New Features Arrived! Channel Selection and Wireless Network Mode

As for the MLO network, in order to improve the network speed, it might require mobile clients to support MLO as well. Do you have any WiFi 7/802.11be-supported clients?

By the way, how about the ISP's overall network bandwidth?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Thanks for getting back to me.

This is promising indeed, I will see if I want to switch over to a newer hardware for this.

To answer your questions.

I do have some WiFi 6 devices (currently not using this due to the 6Ghz band being only for inter node).
I did try it early on but with so many other issues I did not get back to it, I can try again to see.. There are not that many WiFi 6 devices (yet) in the home.

At the moment no WiFi 7 devices exists in my home (this is a pretty new standard after all :) ).

My ISP is 1.2GB over fiber so there is plenty of bandwidth to use.

I am happy with the latest release and my IoT devices are behaving well at the moment.,

Hello there!

I am still using the XE75-Pro with beta firmware.

Any idea when this will be part of the main public firmware?

Should I swap hardware instead?

  @Jonas-Homekit

If you have a lot of 2.4ghz channel neighbours causing you connection and speed issues, then the BE65 should help minimise the interference issues.

If you have a fully compatible WiFi 7 client using 6ghz and you need the best possible wifi speed (and have clear line of sight not more than a few metres away), then MLO should give you the best possible speed and faster than previous wifi hardware.

That's my take but I am no expert.

  @BPCS

Thanks for the reply!

I have 4 floor (townhouse) and no way to but a wired back-haul / interconnection.

Today I I have 3 x XE75 Pro and 1 X BE25.

I use a separate IoT Network (locked at 2.4Ghz) where I put all of the IoT devices on.

Then I have a 2.4/5Ghz SSID for others. and I am using the 6Ghz for inter-node connection (backhaul).

With the beta firmware, things are pretty stable (some latency at times).

I have about 41 clients on the IoT, and 24 on the Default one.

I have it set to reboot once a week.

I am a little miffed that I am stuck at BETA firmware and can never get the latest patches - in fear of getting a very jittery network again.

If I swap for newer hardware - would this help?
