  @Kevin_Z I found a bug in the beta firmware. I have a TP-Link BE550 (v2.0 EU). After a reboot, all settings are saved except for the LED panel settings. I set the LED panel to “off,” but after rebooting, it turns back on and the toggle is set to “on.”

@rm1091

Thanks for getting back.

To conclude, there are three issues with two BE550s connected via EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul:

1. The IoT device names cannot be synchronized from the main to the satellite. That means the IoT device names show "A" when connected to the main BE550, and "B" when connected to the satellite. Please correct me if I understand it incorrectly.

2. The Tether App doesn't display the clients for those connected to the main and the satellite.

3. You're not able to login to the web page of the main BE550.

Since you've reset both of them and the issue persists, I assume these issues may be related to the main BE550's configuration. Would you please try resetting the two BE550s one more time, swap the satellite and the main, configure the satellite as the main, and then confirm whether the mentioned issues disappear?

Once the main BE550 configuration is complete, please export and save the configuration file in case we need it for further analysis.

If the mentioned issues persist after you add the satellite BE550, please email us at support.forum@tp-link.com the configuration file.

@kislorod

Does the LED bug mentioned exist in the previous official version?

We will soon test and verify it.

  @Kevin_Z

Hi,

I have 2 BE550 V1 Firmware 1.2.3 Build 20260127 rel.53303 (both easymesh nodes) and 1 BE550 V2 Firmware 1.3.1 Build 20251229 rel.52842(4341) (Main)

the 2 nodes are connected wired backhul.

I want to use Roaming Binding but there are no Device Names in Roaming Control and I don't see where I can set Roaming Bindings in the clients page.

What do you think of this?

Regards

OK, so now I have a new BE550 V2 that doesn't work with the enhanced features because the V1 I bought a year ago is apparently already too old to receive important updates and I need both routers to support the features. There's not even an information on every sales site I looked at that there are different versions and you have to be lucky to get the correct version. And the missing features aren't visible at all, except you go through hundreds of community blog posts.

And I can't return the new router because I just used a pre-release firmware.

I mean, the last part is my fault because I tried to make it work.

Good thing I can still return my Tapo cameras and the ten smart plugs weren't very expensive.

The times I recommended TP-Link are over apparently.
