Trigger Light on C500 from external trigger (or internal)

Trigger Light on C500 from external trigger (or internal)
Trigger Light on C500 from external trigger (or internal)
Thursday
Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.3

I want to trigger my light on camera when somethings triggers camera OR when something triggers my other camera.

Using alarm and light just makes the light blink at detection and color at night works so-so. I get most irregular results sometimes triggering light, somtimes trigger blinking action and sometimes nothing.

I would also like my other camera to trigger the light (when you arrive from another direction) using "smart actions", but C500 only triggers movements or igognito mode, light is not one of the things I can trigger (would also love to have "move to preset x" as one of the selectable actions).

Anuone have a hack that let me trigger the light on?

Hi,
Do you want the camera to keep its spotlight on for a period of time (e.g., 5 minutes) whenever it detects an event, or whenever another Tapo camera detects an event, or when you arrive home? If so, please describe the detailed usage scenarios for the requested features for evaluation.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee Yes, both events you describe could work. If triggered by another camera or using IFTTT or similar to geofence but at the end I would love the option to have the possibility to trigger the light of the camera as any other smart-lightsource. 5-30min according to camerasettings or always on, but those options are already in the app, just the external triggering that´s missing.

Hi,
When the Tapo C500 is in Night mode, and the Smart Mode is selected on the camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Night Mode Settings page, the camera will turn on the spotlight for a period of time when it detects an event.
However, the camera won't turn on the spotlight when another Tapo camera detects an event or when you arrive home. For the feature requests, while we don't have specific details on whether they can be added to the product or when they might be, I'll log the feature requests and pass them along to the relevant team for evaluation.
Best Regards
