Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 251127 Rel. 70983n

Hello, it's me again and my issue with my camera and chickens. I had this problem before with this camera and you issued a custom firmware which solved my issue, i.e. chickens aren't recognized as people anymore while still maintaining proper person recognition. I've tried event correction and lowering the person detection sensitivity with the current official firmware for more than a week to no avail. It even detects my cat as person during the night which can be pretty bothersome since I set the alarm during the night and I sometimes got woken to a false positive. Can I ask for a custom firmware again or maybe just make the official update not detect chickens and cats as persons anymore? Thank you.

Edit: Also wanted to add that all my cameras,(3 C530WS and 1 C560WS, the one I'm having issue with) are connected to an H500. Like before, my C530WS doesn't detect chickens anymore by lowering sensitivity and event correction as person while my C560WS does even with all those methods.

Hi,
Usually, you can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.
What should I do if my Tapo camera triggers false detection?

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
  1. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page, send us the screenshots of the Detection page, the detection zones page, and the enabled detection types page.
  2. Please send us a video showing that the camera detects a chicken or a cat as a person. You can upload the video and screenshots to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Best Regards

I sent the PM and all the links of the screenshots and videos. The video with the cat detected got deleted since it happened during early dawn and I corrected the event in the app without thinking that much because of drowsiness. Also, just to add and possibly a related bug is that the camera doesn't detect chickens if I turn off auto tracking. Even if I scale up the person detection sensitivity a bit, as long as the camera's auto tracking is off, then it won't detect my chickens. It might help the devs/techs in solving this issue.

Hi,
Please confirm the following information.

  1. On the camera's Auto Tracking page, have you selected Track all activities or Track only specific activity?
  2. When the Auto Tracking feature is enabled, have you received person-detected notifications when the camera detects chickens or cats? Then, when the Auto Tracking feature is disabled, are there no notifications sent to your phone when chickens or cats move in front of the camera?

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

1. I only chose Track specific activity>Person tracking

2. I disabled notifications during the day but during the times when it's enabled and auto tracking is on (i.e. when chickens roam early in the morning before 6am, like the video I sent you), yes I do receive notifications for that. I can post a screenshot here since it's not that sensitivie information anyways.

The one encircled in red are the notifications about chickens. You can verify it on one of the videos I sent although that's 30secs after since that the one I sent. I still have the video from the one on the notification if it's need.

No notifications are sent when auto tracking is disabled and no recording is done on the H500. I tried it today when I fed the chickens in front of the camera(I'm far away from the fov from the camera for the test) and no detection or recording is done.

Also maybe unrelated but facial recognition on this camera only works for a while after the h500 is restarted early in the morning but later during the day it doesn't work anymore. It's only on this camera (C560WS) that has this issue for some reason. My three other cameras (C530WS) works just fine with facial recognition, whether the h500 is restarted or not.
