Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

The 1.3.0_build_2602261_rel_21001 beta firmware works for Deco BE63_V2.6 as well. Based on the current feedback, I think this firmware is worth a try.

By the way, can I have the model number of your 5G WiFi cameras?

For the slow picture loading issue, it is also recommended to refer to this link to change the IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 to see whether it made any difference:

How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

@David-TP hi! Here are the details about my cameras:

I have a Reolink Home Hub Pro that connects all my cameras on 5ghz

I also have a 12TB hard drive where all the videos are stored on the Home Hub Pro.

Here’s a breakdown of my cameras: -

1 TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi -

3 Reolink TrackMix WiFi -

2 Argus MagiCams -

2 Reolink Altas PT Ultra

Let me know if you need any more information!

thank you

Hi, thanks for the update.

Deco BE63 with the latest firmware supports Channel Selection.

Have you tried to set 2.4GHz to channel 11, 5GHz to channel 48, and set "WiFi network mode" to "High Capacity mode":

New Features Arrived! Channel Selection and Wireless Network Mode

By the way, I see the Home Hub supports an Ethernet cable connection. Have you tried to connect the Hub to the nearest Deco via an Ethernet cable?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP hi,

By the way, I noticed that the Home Hub supports an Ethernet cable connection. Have you tried connecting the Hub to the nearest Deco using an Ethernet cable?

Yes, I usually keep it connected that way, but when I connect some of the cameras to the WiFi from the Home Hub Pro, they act strangely.

So, I changed some cameras to the Deco WiFi, and they worked a bit better, but still had issues.

Previously, when I had the XE75 Pro, the Home Hub Pro worked really well, and the PTZ cameras were very responsive, which was great.

After that, I installed one BE63 with four XE75 Pros, and it was okay. However, tech support mentioned that I had too many Decos, so I removed all the XE75 Pros and installed a 3-pack of BE63s.

That's when my experience worsened because one main unit was on firmware version 1.3.1 while the others were at 1.2.10.

Currently, the 2.4GHz band is set to channel 11 was on 1, the channel width is set to 20MHz, the 5GHz band is on channel 48 with a channel width of 160MHz, and wireless performance is set to optimal. I have now switched it to High Capacity mode.

i went back to optimal mode some of the cameras on the home hub pro would not connect at all

thank you

Hi, thank you very much for the update.

After setting the wireless channels and High Capacity mode, would they make any difference to the wireless connection to the 5G Reolink WiFi cameras?

I don't have any other suggestions for now. If you'd like to further troubleshoot with our senior engineer, it is recommended to send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com.

Did you reboot all your points and router? Sometimes it then settles down into an ongoing improvement event.

Deco BE65 V2.0 — Periodic WiFi jitter spikes every ~11 seconds (ethernet backhaul)

Hi David,

I am having a different issue im struggling to resolve, 3x Deco BE65 V2.0, all ethernet backhaul, NBN FTTP Australia. Firmware 1.3.0 Build 26022612.

Ping tests from any WiFi client to the gateway show 3-7ms baseline but spike pairs of 30-90ms every ~11 seconds. Since updating to the February build (from January 26012212), spikes have worsened to 239ms with stddev doubling from 20ms to 40ms. CPU sits at 78% after only 12 minutes of runtime.

Wired connection to the same node shows sub-1ms with zero jitter. Two separate Apple devices (Mac Mini and MacBook Air) show the identical pattern, ruling out a client issue.

Tried everything with no change to the pattern. Fast Roaming off, 6GHz off, UPnP/SIP ALG off, Beamforming toggled, channel manually set to 64, node moved within 2m of client, connection preference set. Same result across both firmware builds.

Had a remote session with FAE Parker who tested Deco-to-Deco 5GHz backhaul and showed it was clean. But that tests the backhaul radio, not the client-serving radio. The ~11 second periodicity suggests a firmware-scheduled background scan affecting the client-facing WiFi.

Can engineering investigate the scan interval? On ethernet backhaul, wireless mesh scanning is unnecessary. Is a debug firmware available?

Full ping data, PDF report, and session transcript available on request.

@nicko83 , Hey, welcome to the community. Thanks for sharing your feedback here.

Since you’ve already been in touch with the engineer over email, could you reply to TKID260327800 directly to continue the conversation? I checked with the engineer earlier, and it seems the issue might be related to the Apple device itself. Discussing it directly with him could help clarify things further.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
