Hi  @David-TP

Thanks for the updated beta.

Unfortunately, after installing this new beta, I am now seeing a new issue affecting devices that were previously working well.

I have not yet been able to re-test the older legacy devices that originally showed the very low throughput problem. I will test those later and report back.

However, with this new beta, several modern Wi-Fi 6 / 6E clients that previously had no performance issues are now clearly affected.

Sofar I have tested:

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

Samsung S23 FE

Samsung A36 5G

iPhone XR

Lenovo T14i with wifi 6.

Acer Predator with wifi 6.

I'm attaching screenshots from Motorola Edge 50 ultra:

Moto edge 50 ultra

Onthese devices, the Wi-Fi link itself appears stable and normal, and the reported link speed is not low. However, real throughput has dropped significantly after the update.

Speed

Before this new beta, these devices could usually reach around 850-900 Mbps under the same general conditions.

After the new beta, they now seem limited to around 200-250 Mbps.

This suggests that the new beta may have introduced a broader performance regression, now affecting clients that were previously working correctly.

So at this point, the situation seems to be:

-Previous beta: severe throughput issue mainly observed on some legacy or lower-tier clients

-new beta: possible improvement for that original issue still pending confirmation but now a new regression appears to affect newer Wi-Fi 6 / 6E clients that were previously fine.

I will test the previously affected legacy devices later and update the thread again, but I wanted to report this new behavior immediately because it appears right after installing the latest beta.

Thanks and sorry for the bad news.

  Hi @David-TP,

Just a quick note to let you know that 1.4.999 Release 38451 has been stable and working well for me on my 2 x XE75ProV2 for the past 12 hours.

It's the first release since 1.2.14 Release 6745 that hasn't caused some 2.4GHz devices (connected to other satellites) to drop off the network, so far.

I can also see the High Capacity Wireless Network Mode on the XE75ProV1 that is my main unit for the first time I can recall.

Also, I see that you just posted an updated version, 1.4.999 Release 57690. Can you provide any information about the difference between this version (57690) and the one posted yesterday (38451)?

Kind Regards.

3 x XE75Pro(1.0) (1.4.5) (1 main/2 eth) 2 x XE75Pro(2.0) (14.999 38541) (1 eth/1 wifi)* 2 x X50-Outdoor(1.0) (1.3.1) (2 eth) *(1st stable release for 2.4GHz devices since XE75 ProV2 (1.2.14 6745))

  @Nicosilva86

Hi, thank you very much for the update. I had high expectations for this new version 😔.

Could you please also give an update on #TKID260335492 so that the engineer could be informed as well?

Please also update here whether the older legacy devices have any improvement on the new beta.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

  @OzPatricio

Hi, nice to see you again.

The core improvements in both firmware versions remain consistent. The latest download link has minor refinements to ensure that hardware running beta versions can seamlessly detect and update to the official release in the future.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
