Model: Tapo C500   Tapo C510W
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

C500 and C510 cameras keep dropping in and out offline. WiFi signal is good to both.

no obvious reason for them to be doing these. And the seem to do it alternately.

Hi,
Please refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if the camera keeps going offline.
What if Tapo smart devices keep losing connection or going offline?

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
  1. What's the model number of your router? Do you have a stable connection on your other devices(such as phones and laptops) when connecting to the router's Wi-Fi?
  2. When the camera is working, please go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value.
  3. What's the LED status on the camera when it's offline, such as solid red, solid amber, etc.?
  4. How can the camera be restored to the online status—for instance, by restarting it—or will it recover automatically on its own?
  5. How often does the offline phenomenon occur?

Best Regards!

C310 and c500 stable connection on all other devices

Rssi values -52 and -54

Not sure if amber or red

power down camera and back on restores it

or sometimes just reconnects itself

Daily or every other day

Hi,
Tapo C310 and C500 should be the Tapo camera models. How about your Wi-Fi router's model number?

You can try changing the router's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel, setting the channel width to 20 MHz, and turning off Advanced Wi-Fi settings like Smart Connect, Wi-Fi Optimizing, or Channel optimization, then check if the cameras work fine.

If the same phenomenon persists, please refer to the instructions below to collect the camera log.
How to get the log of Tapo Camera

Best Regards
