Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 Build 20260108 rel.68570(4555) / 1.3.1 Build 20251229 rel.52842(4555)

Hi all !

Just was wondering if you could help optimise (if possible) my setup.

I have a BE3600 acting as main router with MLO / MU-MIMO. I also have setup a separate IoT network.

BE550 is linked through ethernet via EasyMesh

However it doesn't pass the IoT or MLO to the BE550 (I upgrade to beta firmware).

The question is -> Is there anyway to pass them to the BE550 ?

Or if I make BE550 the main router will that push everything to the BE3600 ?

Or do I need to wait for a firmware upgrade on the BE3600 ?

Thanks !

So I made BE550 main but still no dice. Guess we need a new firmware for BE3600

Hi,

Yes, you are right. For extension of the IoT and Guest networks via EasyMesh both routers need to support this new feature.

There has been no word from TP-Link which of the existing router models are going to get a firmware update that adds this feature.

Suppose for now, you could turn off Easymesh and put the BE3600 in AP mode with the same named SSIDs and passwords as the BE550
