Good morning.

I have 3 X10 units in my house—one on each floor, with the main one in the middle. I'm having a really weird problem: when I'm connected to the devices on the upper or lower floor, the connection drops randomly. Things stop loading and take a long time to come back. However, when the connection drops, if I open the Deco app and refresh the main page (where it shows the download and upload speeds, etc.), the connection comes back literally instantly. This is really annoying.

Any explanation for this? Any way to fix it?

It was like this on 1.3.0, updated to 1.4.0 and nothing changed.

For the reported phenomenon, please provide the following information for further analysis.


  1. Please describe your network diagram. Are the two satellite Deco wirelessly connected to the main Deco?
  2. When the connection drops on your client device, what's the LED status on the two satellite Deco? Are the client devices connected to the Deco's Wi-Fi but have no internet connection, or are they disconnected from the Wi-Fi?
  3. Do you have the same phenomenon when connecting to the main Deco's Wi-Fi?
  4. How often do connections drop on your client device, such as how many times a day? Do all client devices drop connection at the same time?
  5. Please refer to the instructions below to send us the Deco app log. After that, please attach your reference number (such as email TKIDXXX) to this thread so we can find your app log.

  @Andradebr having the exact same issue, and have had this since I purchased the deco 3 months ago. Now my laptop with ethernet plugged in is also dropping internet

  1. I have my isp's ont in bridge mode and the main X10 connected to it through a cable, dialling PPPoE. The other 2 deco's are connected wirelessly.
  2. The lights stay green, nothing changes. All devices stay connected. Usually on iPhone it displays a message when you're connected to wifi but theres no internet, but this doesn't happen in my case. It stays connected just fine but doesn't load anything.
  3. Haven't had it happen on the main deco.
  4. I couldn't notice a time frame, but i'd say it happens every 20 min at least.
  5. I sent my logs and put in the text (Ticket for Andradebr). I've noticed the logs only go back 5 hours (on the web page atleast) and it's 6:30 am in here, so there will be no internet use during the night. I can send it again later today if needed.

  @Crch44 I have my computer plugged in via cable but it doesnt drop the connection. It's only on the devices connected to wifi.

Hi, 
Please try changing the DNS server on your Deco app and test if it helps. 
You can send us the app log again after the reported phenomenon occurs.
