Technical Inquiry: Firmware feature disparity between regions for Archer BE550 (V2.0)
I am a user of Archer BE550 (V2.0) in Thailand. I have two units of this model, and I noticed that they are identical in hardware specifications (V2.0) to the units sold in the US region.
Currently, I am experiencing an issue where EasyMesh (R3) features like MLO, Guest Network, and IoT network synchronization are not propagating to the satellite node. I have observed that the latest US firmware versions include "Enhanced EasyMesh" features that seem to resolve these synchronization issues.
I would like to clarify the following points regarding firmware support:
-
Hardware Compatibility: Since my units are V2.0 (same hardware as US units), are there any technical restrictions preventing the use of US firmware, aside from regional regulatory (NBTC/FCC) channel differences?
-
Feature Parity: Is there a roadmap for releasing the "Enhanced EasyMesh" firmware for the Thai/Global market, to achieve feature parity with the US region?
-
Support Policy: If I encounter issues, is there a recommended way to enable these features on my local units without violating local regulatory compliance?
I would appreciate it if you could provide guidance on whether I should wait for a localized release or if there is an official way to synchronize these profiles between nodes.
Thank you for your technical support.
