Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 26040912 Rel. 40631

Hi,

I think the firmware on my BE65 was updated automatically last night to v1.3.2.

Since then the (previously working) WiFi guest network has not worked.  Any device attached to the guest network reports that there is no internet connection.  The main WiFi network continues to work fine.

Also, in the Deco Android app, I can no longer make any edits to the settings of the guest network.  Attempting to change the settings, or disable the guest network, produces this error message:

"Failed to save your settings. Please try again later."

That is, with the exception of one setting which can still be changed...  That being "Advanced -> Captive Portal", which can still be enabled/disabled.

Is this a firmware bug?

In case it's relevant, the BE65 is the main Deco on the network, but I also have several XE75s and X60s on the network.  Firmware versions are 1.4.3 Build 20240926 Rel. 38336 and 1.4.0 Build 20241212 Rel. 48194 respectively.

Kind regards,

Kev

Hi  @Solla-topee ,

I solved this issue by completely deleting my network in the Deco app and creating a new network from scratch.

Kind regards,

Kev

  @LordCarnage

Hi,

Please try turning off the main Deco and satellite Deco nodes, waiting for 30 seconds, then turning them back on, and check if the guest network works.

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
  1. In the Deco app > Network tab > tap a Deco > send us the screenshots of the Show Map and Show List pages.
  2. Refer to the instructions below to send us the app log after you reproduce the reported phenomenon. Then please let us know once you have sent the log file.

Best Regards

Hi  @Solla-topee ,

Thanks for your repsonse!

Rebooting all of my Deco units brought the guest network back to life, but I still cannot reconfigure it with the app.

I'll email you with a support issue and the logs about that.

Kind regards,

Kev

Hi  @Solla-topee ,

Actually, this issue is not fixed.  I was connecting to the guest network on the BE65 the whole time, which works fine.  However, if I connect to the guest network on the XE75 satellites then it does not work.

It looks like the guest network on the X60 satellite also works fine.

I have tried removing one of the XE75 satellites, factory resetting it, and adding it back onto the mesh network, but this did not fix the problem.

Is this a new incompatibility between the XE75 and the latest firmware for the BE65?

I will also share this information in the private support issue (TKID260620532).

Kind regards,

Kev

Hi  @Solla-topee ,

I think I have partially fixed this issue now.

After being inspired by this forum thread, I disabled QoS for the entire mesh network.  This worked around the issue where the XE75 satellites had no internet connection on the guest network:

However, I am still unable to modify any settings for the guest network on the Deco app.  I get the same error.

Kind regards,

Kev
