LAN IP has been changing every reboot
Is a fix still incoming? I want to be able to set my WAN DNS to a local DNS server.
Thanks!

HI, it is more related to the IP conflict;
And Deco will use the following information to detect whether there is a conflict.
LAN IP+subnet mask==WAN IP+subnet mask
LAN IP+subnet mask==WAN DNS+ subnet mask
If there is a conflict, Deco will change the LAN IP automatically, especially after a reboot.
Please have a check on your APP to see whether there is such a conflict;
And for more details, please have a look at this link:

Thank you.

Hello, thanks for your feedback. It seems that it is the IP conflict. In general, if the WAN DNS or WAN IP is in the same network segment as the LAN IP, it will cause the IP conflict
Cause you have a DNS server in the LAN, you can set the LAN DNS to the DNS server in the Deco app. It is the same thing.
And for this issue we will remind our product and RD team to fix it as soon as possible.
May it help.

Thanks for your quick reply!
The problem with setting it as my LAN DNS is that my guest network devices are unable to access the DNS server. Please do let your product team know about it. Appreciate your help.

Thanks for your valued reply. And definitely we would remind our RD team and let them fix it as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, cause you cannot change the LAN DNS to that DNS server directly, you can edit the DNS server on the client itself.
Thanks for your kindly understanding and support again. Good day.

@Kevin_Z When is this going to be fixed? If you're not going to fix it I want a refund and I'll go back to Google Wifi.

I really want to know when this will be fixed too. It's causing headaches every few weeks, and many people have been bringing up this issue. LAN DNS does not work for guest networks.

Same exact problem. Completely messes up my server running plex and other things. This should be a standard setup on any available router. Back to manually pointing my DNS again.

Any updates please?
This bug is so frustrating to the point where I am considering changing my entire network setup away from Deco products.
