Hello TP-Link Community

Since I've changed my network equipment from ASUS to TP-Link DecoXE75 I've had issues with buffering on both my LG Smart TV's when watching Disney+, Netflix and other streaming services directly on the Smart TV even when the TV is the only device using our broadband.
First of all, I've never had this issue before with my old router.

I currently have 2 DecoXE75.
The first Deco is my main and is being used as our main router and is connected to our modem from my ISP in bridge mode.
The second Deco is connected as a mesh wirelessly.

Most of my devices is connected to my 2,4/5Ghz network, except all my smart home equiptment that is connected to my IoT network and my gaming PC and mobile that is connected to my 6Ghz network.

My internet speed is 500Mbit/s Download and 500Mbit/s Upload

I've tried following things to try and fix it myself:
- Added both Smart TV's as "High Priority"
- Made sure that the TV's are connecting to the closest Deco (The TV in the livingroom is connected to the main Deco and the one in my bedroom is connected to the second Deco)
- Tried restarting the Deco's (Even tho I've made them restart every monday night)
- Tried connecting them to a newly created IoT network running 2,4Ghz, just to see if that made a difference

I don't know what I can do about this, so I was hoping some of you could help?
It's a bit frustrating, due to it not being an issue with my old equipment.

Thanks
C. Steinhaugen

  @Steinhaugen ,

Hi, I have 3 Deco XE75-Pro devices and also face the same issue with frequent disconnects and massive latency.

I have had many sessions with the TP-Link support who have never managed to solve this.

Sorry this isn't the news you want, however I wanted to manage your expectations. After 10 years of TP-Link networking, these issues have never been resolved across all of the Deco models.

  @BenGinders

Sad to hear that.
Then I might just return them and find another brand that is more reliable.

  @Steinhaugen I would do the same if I wasn't passed the return period, I had too much faith in the issues being resolved.

  @Steinhaugen

@BenGinders

Hi, welcome to the community.

It's sad to know that may have unintentionally left a negative impression. I know it might not sound persuasive but every issue has its unique underlying circumstances, and they are not always attributable to the same cause. If possible, our engineers would still be more than willing to assist and actively contribute towards resolving the problem.

If you don't mind, the following suggestions are still worth a try:

1. turn off the "Mesh Technology" for the 2*LG smart TVs.

2. add them to "Device Isolation" to avoid wireless interference from other mobile devices in the network.

Thank you very much and best regards.

I have a similar issue with my XE75 Pro V2 used in AP mode and my Sony A80J TV. Occasionally, the streaming will stop (rather than buffering) and I will have to restart the streaming. This has happened with Disney+ and Now TV. It did not happen when I used my Fritzbox 7530 for WiFi.

  @Steinhaugen I had to go to the Deco app, go to client list, select the LGwebOSTV and set preferences to 5ghz. That seemed to do it. It was the same for my Galaxy S7 plus pad. Was pulling 50mbps at best. Set to 5ghz dedicated and now getting 500+mbps.

You may have to try to connect the tv to the router a few times to show on the client list.
