Model: Deco X73-DSL
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have 5 security cameras attached to the router that I cannot identify without resetting each camera and tracking each one as I reconnect.

The cameras are connected via "Grid Connect" and their details provide an IP address that is not within the range of the router and also has an unrelated identifier. They also only use the 2.4 band.

On the Deco list of devices they show as either Unknown or as a 9 digit numeric value that bears no resemblance to any value available on each device.

MAC and IP addresses are available

I have tried using the system command arp -a but that only shows the MAC-IP relationships for wired connections.

Is there any way of identifying these devices without doing a reset?

  @JHSpencer

Hi, Normally the 9-digit numeric should be the last part of the MAC address.

And here is a workaround. It might not be perfect but it's worth a try:

1. Please refer to this link to rename the security cameras to 1/2/3...

2. Then power off the cameras one by one and check which device on the Deco APP is offline.

3. Finally, re-edit the names of the cameras to match their actual locations.

Thank you very much and best regards.
