I am a user of Archer BE550 (V2.0) in Thailand. I have two units of this model, and I noticed that they are identical in hardware specifications (V2.0) to the units sold in the US region.

Currently, I am experiencing an issue where EasyMesh (R3) features like MLO, Guest Network, and IoT network synchronization are not propagating to the satellite node. I have observed that the latest US firmware versions include "Enhanced EasyMesh" features that seem to resolve these synchronization issues.

I would like to clarify the following points regarding firmware support:

  1. Hardware Compatibility: Since my units are V2.0 (same hardware as US units), are there any technical restrictions preventing the use of US firmware, aside from regional regulatory (NBTC/FCC) channel differences?

  2. Feature Parity: Is there a roadmap for releasing the "Enhanced EasyMesh" firmware for the Thai/Global market, to achieve feature parity with the US region?

  3. Support Policy: If I encounter issues, is there a recommended way to enable these features on my local units without violating local regulatory compliance?

I would appreciate it if you could provide guidance on whether I should wait for a localized release or if there is an official way to synchronize these profiles between nodes.

The pre-release version of firmware v1.3.1 can supposedly be applied to all regional versions of the BE550 V2.

Thank you for the suggestion regarding the pre-release firmware. I have updated my Archer BE550 (V2.0) units to the official version: be550v2-be9300v2-up-all-ver1-3-1-P1[20260403-rel18661].

Following the update and a complete factory reset/reconfiguration, here is the current status:

1. Feature Synchronization

  • Guest Network & IoT Network: These are now correctly synchronized to the satellite node.

  • MLO (Multi-Link Operation): Unfortunately, MLO settings are still not available/propagated to the satellite node.

2. Performance Degradation Since the update, I am experiencing significant throughput issues:

  • Wireless Clients (iPhone 17 Pro, Galaxy S25 Ultra): Download speeds remain normal, but upload speeds have dropped drastically from ~500 Mbps (pre-update) to around 100 Mbps.

  • Wired Clients (connected to Satellite Node): Despite the satellite node showing a 1000/1000 Mbps uplink, wired devices connected to it are experiencing severe download degradation, dropping to around 100 Mbps, while upload speeds remain normal.

These issues persist despite performing a factory reset and clean configuration. Could you please advise if there are specific settings I should check, or if these are known bugs in this build?

Looking at posts from other users (just scroll down in the "Wireless Routers" forum) the things you report appear to be in line with what other users experience with firmware version 1.3.1.

Yes, this is a known anomaly, but we have already released a beta firmware: What If the Wireless Upload Speed Drops Significantly After Archer BE550 V2 is Updated to 1.3.1?
