Sharing devices between multiple accounts
Hi,
Is it possible for multiple Kasa accounts to access the same device? My husband and I would both like access to the TP-Link smart plugs but they are already linked to his account and it doesn't appear that I can add them to mine without removing them from his.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
By synchronizing your Kasa devices to the Tapo app, you can now take advantage of the device sharing feature. This allows you to share your smart devices with trusted individuals, granting them control over the devices as well. Below are the detailed instructions.

This means I have to give my cleaning lady the access to all my cameras, sensors, smart-plugs, instead of just giving her access to the washer/dryer smart-plug? Plus I would have to give her email and password to log into her phone? :)

I have a similar issue. The solution that works for me is linking your husband's account (the main account) to Samsung Smart Things, and put all the devices you do not want to share on that account. Make a second Tp-Link account for the person you want to share a device with, and link that one to Smart Things also. Then you give that person the Tp-Link account and have them use the Tp-Link/ Kasa app. You can use the Smarthings app with both accounts linked to it, while the other person only has access to one account.
Google also has an app similar to smart things called "Google home". It should work the same, and then you can use the Google assistant.

I registered my Kasa Spot Pan Tilt on my Android, but when I try to access it from my iPhone, I get the prompt Connection Error "Unable to connect with the server. Please make sure you have Internet connection or try again later." Curiously, I can actually see the camera streaming in the background behind the popup dialog, but when I click OK, it goes away. I think I will return this device.

Hi, regarding this case we can do some troubleshooting. Usually, you will get the error 'Unable to connect with the server' when there is no internet connection, the camera streaming you see in the background may not be the real-time video.
When the issue happens, please check the internet on your phone first, and test the connection stability, or use another phone to do the test.
By the way, what's the light status on the camera? What's the model number, hardware version and firmware version of it?
Have a good day.

Wow. That is almost a fatal flaw all my itself. What is the point of a smart switch with absolutely zero security features?
Are there competÃng products that can do this properly?

I had the same error code and called and they tried to tell me it was the internet but the image was current but I could not control it or playback recordings. Since the camera was out of state I had a neighbor go over and push the reset button with a paper clip and after it booted up all was back to normal!
