Tapo P100 power outage
I have a problem, I really like Tapo P100 and want to change my starting status.
My problem is that after a power outage, the p100 does not remember theprevious state and is always turned off.
How do I changeit ? Is there any setting for a power outage?

This is the hardware design of the plug, to prevent the backside appliance from damage due to sudden power restoration. You can turn it back on on the app.
Good day.

This is not appropriate, if I do not know that there was a power outage, then it will be cancelled. I tried, it turns on at sunrise and sunset, then the schedule work. That's good for the P100?

I will feedback to our R&D Department and they will evaluate it.
For the schedule function, it still works even though the plug lost power or lost the internet connection.

I also have this trouble. After the power is restored, I hope that the P100 will be turned on. RELAY Is ON Or NOT OFF There is no such thing as a device protection problem! Restoring power using the APP will also turn on RELAY ON. Hope to add this function

@Stella.Q This is unacceptable! If a switch is on, we'd expect it to be on when the power is restored, end of story. It's a switch and should just do it's job, no need to worry about damaging our appliance. If there is a power surge we'd have bigger problems to worry about. FIX ASAP PLEASE

@Stella.Q this is no feature, implement the feature of a switch first and foremost, which is to turn on and off, no need to reinvent the wheel or try to become a circuit breaker. PLEASE FIX ASAP.

@Stella.Q please explain how a device is damaged when power is restored? Afaik all switches bring back sudden power, it's only diesel generators that creates gradual increase of power as it spins up 😂

@kate53 I have the same problem. Even when i unlplug P100 from one outlet to another it blinks constantly orange and i have to reset it.
How this can be? Power outage should always be considered when you desing a smart device as P100.
