Update:

Hi, the firmware of Tapo P100 V1.2 that supports smart action has been released (version number: 1.4.5), but only some users will receive push notifications.

 If the firmware upgrade is not available, please manually check the firmware update in the APP and upgrade to the newest firmware. (Click Me>>Firmware Update)

Hi,

 

Ive just gotten two new plugs, so I now have a V1.0 and a V1.2, the V1.2 cant be controlled through smart actions. When is this coming out? How can a newer hardware version have less features?

@dandel95 so this means that the software level is not the same. 

@TP-Link are reformulating the internal API from the Tapo devices? Why have 2 different APIs?

Firstly, your post isn't really a solution to the issue so shouldn't be marked as such.

 

I already have 2 P100 plugs in use (v1.0 it seems) and bought a third which turned out to be hardware v1.2. I find the plug pretty useless without smart actions. I'm sure the removal of functionality couldn't have been your intension?!

 

When do you expect the v1.2 hardware to be capable of running firmware compatible with smart actions?

@Watt_iOS_App Fun fact the P100 is not listed in the Smart  actions supported devices list.
