P110 Energy monitoring bugy, missing functionalities
I just fired up my very first Tapo P110 since I was in a need of some sort of energy monitoring/logging device that is hard to find.
First impressions:
- the default language on my phone is HUN
- the app shows several things against my expectation e.g.
- energy consumption has no dedicated button (have to figure out where it is hiding?)
- then the translation is a bit funny: I have 'Energiafelhasználás' (ok), next to it ('Menetidő' = 'travel time') (hmm? are we going somewhere?)
- under that I have 'Energy usage' \ 'Today', \'Past 30 days', \'Jelenlegi energia' (= 'Actual energy' (!)) that is wrong again since we have ''Actual' energy consumption' maybe
- then the 'Jelenlegi energia' has the following unit [Sz], which to my best knowledge is not present in the SI, and to my best guess since we measure kW/h that shall be [W]
- then what is strange the 'Jelenlegi energia' is not updated, so I wonder is it really 'actual', tap on it you get a graph that is again not updated live at all and not even showing the same peak value (?). If you wanna see live 'actual' data tap back and forth to see 'real live reading' that is really crazy.
Not to mention missing base features like at a 'smart' product:
- possibility for cost calculation
- saving the logs, etc.
So I am quite confused about what to say.
I wonder what is the point of having such a great product with so many issues and missing functionality?
I guess I will place a review on Amazon, send this product back and buy one that can do what was meant to be (...without wasting my time and energy).

Hi Solla-topee, here you can clearly see the problem:
And when the real local time reach 13:00, then the graph also turn to 13:00, so issue corrected. The same thing is happening at midnight

@NyGabor thanks a lot for the photo, it is clear enough to illustrate the problem, I'd escalate your case to our senior engineers TKID220822378 so they can have further look at and correct it.
For the energy consumption unit ' Sz ' instead of 'W' as checked with our team, this will be corrected in the future release in 2.9.X, kindly keep an eye on the future app update.

Very interesting for me, that sometimes when i open the Tapo app the time for the chart is false, but sometimes it shows the correct time, like now.

@BLacc I think the problem is only between 12:00-13:00 and 00:00-01:00

вчера закупен Tapo 110 - версията съм я снимал 2.9.14
отново не отчита текущата енергия както трябва в - 1W а 1C - какво означава това ?

I completely agree with you. @Solla-topee The biggest shortcoming of this device and the biggest problem with it is that it is not possible to reset the energy consumption counter! I would have liked to measure the consumption of various electronic devices in the apartment (TV, computer, air conditioner, refrigerator) for up to an hour or even a few minutes and then I would have plugged in the next device. however, the counter would have to be reset to zero. It is not a solution to constantly reset the entire consumption meter to its default state and set it up again starting from the beginning. TP-LINK support, please include the software "counter reset" option! @Watt_iOS_App It is also extremely sad that the Watt for Smart Devices software does not exist for Android. (Only and exclusively for iOS??!) I will therefore not buy an iPhone now that I have an Android device.
Thanks!
