Model: Tapo C310
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.12

The problem is when I use the software Agent from Ispy

Here what the people behind Ispy asked me to do:

I think you'll need to contact tp-link about that. Sounds like it needs a firmware update.

And here the problem:

TP-link TAPO C310 do not function with 64GB SD Card mounted. There is no picture from live viewing. The same problem with Ispy,
If I remove the SD card from C310 everything works perfect, but then I will not be able to record anything on a SD card if the computer is switched off. I only switch on if I want to follow a machine in my garden.
I have a TAPO C200 with no problems - only TAPO C310

Setup for both cameras is ONVIF.Does anyone have a solution to this problem ?
Is it only hardware version 1 that gives problem?

Hello   @Per_dk

Thank you for the feedback, do you mean there is no Live view on Tapo APP or there is no Live view on ISPY?

  •  If Tapo APP Live view does not work when SD card are inserted, with SD card, please help collect the log file of camera

How to Get the Log of Tapo Camera?

Please also confirm device firmware and Tapo APP are both up to date.

May I know have a photo showing the Live view,  the model of phone and its Android or IOS version, what is the Tapo APP version, thank you.

  • The Camera supports two of the three functions among Tapo Care/SD card Recording/NVR (NVR means ONVIF or RTSP streaming here) working at the same time and here is an QA explaining this

Q3.4: Why can’t I use Tapo Care, SD card, and NVR at the same time?

If this note pops upyou could either unplug SD / deactivate Tapo care (free trial)/ turn off ONVIF or RTSP connection before test the other two functions.

If the same, please also help collect the log of camera.

  @Solla-topee
I'm sorry.

I have returned the camera to the dealer this morning.

Hope theese information can help other users, and find an explanation if is C310 og Ispy there is the problem :

There was a black screen in Live View on Agent and Ispy when the SD card was inserted (see enclosed file).

Never seen a message about Tapo Care, SD Card and NVR at the same time - The C310 functioned very well - the problem was that I could not use it together vith a SD card and the Ispy

Tapo app. version 2.8.14
Ispy version 7.2.6.0
Agent uninstalled but it was Agent DVR v4.0.8.0

I have enclosed a log from Ispy from 19. june 2022
I have enclosed pictures from the SD card in C310 from 19. june 2022

I have enclosed a screen shot from Ispy

Thanks for taken the time to respond.

  Hello @Per_dk

Thank you very much for the case details for analysis!  I'd like to also leave some tips here for any user who experience similar concern:

If the camera is on Tapo care (Free trial)or uses SD card, it is recommended to use two of the three functions among Tapo Care/SD card Recording/NVR (NVR means ONVIF or RTSP streaming here) to ensure the overall performance for camera.

If you are using multiple ONVIF or RTSP connections, try to use Stream1 and Stream2 separately, for example NVR1 uses Stream1, and NVR2 uses Stream2.

Thank you for your time and patience with troubleshooting.

Best Regards.
