It has been 10 months I have been using it continuously all of a sudden it stopped working. It is switching off and on but electricity is not cutting off. As a result the appliance stays switched on.

 Is this a known issue after 10-11 months of usage?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Please make sure you've run some basic troubleshooting steps if the plug does not cut off power to the home appliances

  • Try a different device connected to Tapo plug
  • Factory reset plug: How to factory reset the Tapo smart plug
  • Try manually push the power button on the Plug itself and see if it can provide or cut off power to the home appliance. 

 

If still the same , it could be a faulty unit. You could contact retailer or local support to check device warranty. When reach the support, please help provide  the model of the device and its wattage, e.g. Bed Lamp 15W & note if the issue occur safter a thunderstorm or power outage?
