I have this problem with a new C200 v3 device I bought. It does not correctly transmit the audio channel when being connected thru ONVIF, so it times out.

 

The other 2 C200 v1 devices I have work as expected and resolve the audio and video really fast, although their latest firmware is not 1.1.22 but 1.1.18.

 

I am using them with this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alexvas.dvr If that helps.

 

Does this is a known problem or there is something that I can do? I already returned a C210 for this just to find out that the C200 v3 has the same problem.

 

I really need to solve this fast because I use the camera to monitor health-related problems, so If this can not be fixed I need to search for another brand.

For 'not correctly transmit the audio channel 'do you mean there is no sound from the camera when stream camera on the Tinycam APP? 

To check if this is only with certain app, you could also try a different software or app like VLC player and see if there is any audio (note test only one rtsp or onvif app at the same time )

To look into this further, we need the camera log file. Can you help save the Tapo C200 V3 log and share the log file with us, collecting the log will require a SD card inside the camera.

Hello with VLC I can hear the audio, although, it is another protocol I assume?

 

I am attaching the logs. I connected the SD card and triggered the error a couple of times. I see something there, sadly I can not put the code here because "it contains illegal chars"

 

Like I said, Tapo C200 v1 works correctly.

Hello   @distante 

RTSP is for live-streaming, and audio should also come through RTSP; 

When testing the app, we found the Audio is marked as 'Pro'  so you may double-check if it's some limitation on the audio in this Tiny cam Monitor app or if there is any similar feedback with the same app. I will also share the log with our team and see if there are any further suggestion.

I have the pro version of that app. Other thing, I tested vlc on my laptop (MacBook). I will test it again with the android version. 

 

My have other 2 tapo c200 cameras v1 work as expected there.

I have the same problem! Two C200 cams, one with v1 (1.1.18) works fine and the new one with v3 (1.1.22) works too, but audio is missing via onvif in tinycam pro. 

Please solve this problem! 

I use this two cams for monitoring my 2 babys at night. And audio is indispensable for that case!!! 

Otherwise I have to sent it back to Amazon and purchase a new one from another manufacturer...

Are there some news about this? My window to return / confirm the camera purchase is almost closed :(
