Let us please toggle Home and Away modes using Shortcuts and thereby Alexa, it isn't very pleasant to always head into the app and navigate into camera settings just to change modes.

On the Tapo cameras it would be excellent to have the Home and Away modes activated via automation. Particularly now the geofencing is available. But also to allow it to be activated by a Tapo button. Then the last person of the family to leave the house can push the button to activate the Away mode, and when someone arrives home they can push the button to activate the Home mode.

How can this not be a feature yet?
Privacy mode is used in this manner (for the C400 at least), so this threads request should be really easy and logic to add. The lack of this feature is the one thing that make me unwilling to recommend Tapo cameras to anyone at this time.

would love to have this feature. Trying to set-up a similar automation for a while so I don't forget to enable motion sensors when I'm away but no luck yet :(

I cannot believe that this most basic functionality is missing. I will be returning my cameras, sensors, buttons, and hub and looking for something better.

Yes definitely needed as i have kids that leave the house later due to school which setting this feature up on all family members phones will be super helpful
