Just want to chime in to say my C210 is also failing, for some reason.  I can get so far as to see the wifi SSID, and even connect to it, and ping.  But the app never connects.  Reset a dozen times, rebooted more, the camera just sticks on flashing red and green, or seems to be in a boot cycle.  It's shameful that Tapo and tp-link don't provide a solution to this horrible problem.

Hi, I recommend checking out the solution I found in this post: https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/608500?replyId=1347030 I managed to save my C100 camera, but it's also valid for the first-generation C200.

I think my C520WS was bricked. How can I restore it? I just bought it then there is a power outage that causes it to just show red led. Its behavior is like in a state of boot loop. Can you help?

  @Wayne-TP Hello. I have a Tapo C320WS - V2 camera. On April 14, after an update that lasted about 3 hours, the update was unsuccessful. After that, the LED flashes red and I cannot access the camera either via WIFI or the web interface. I would like to request the file with the latest firmware version so that I can restore my camera. If anyone has this firmware, please share it or suggest a way to restore it. I may have to overwrite the flash memory so that I can restore my camera. Thanks in advance.

  @Wayne-TP

Available solution is supposed to work for V1 camera only, according to instructions.
Does it work for V2 too?

Case 3

Applicable Models:
Tapo C320WS V1

Did you read this somewhere else? This article's Case 3 mentions both Tapo C320WS V1 and V2.

A small suggestion.....

To avoid power drop outs during firmware upgrade, I ALWAYS connect my cameras to a fully charged 6Ah or better, 12v BATTERY rather than the AC wall plug power supply.   Then even if your home/office AC power flickers or goes out the camera will still update since it fully downloads the firmware update first before it begins installing it.

The problem will occur if you drop AC power after the firmware installation begins.   Battery power completely avoids that possibility.

All you need is a 12v battery of sufficient capacity that is fully charged and a 5.5 x 2.1mm male connector (same as what's on the end of the AC Wall wart power supply cord.)
