c420 trigger h200 alarm off schedule
Hi, recently set up a c420s system, impressed so far.
However, when I set the cameras to trigger the h200 hub alarm, the hub alarm sounds at every detection the cameras make and not just when the cameras are scheduled to sound an alarm.
Can anyone advise please?

Hi,
You can set the Tapo H200 to alarm during a specific time with the Smart Action(Automation) feature. Below are the instructions.
1) With the latest Tapo app, go to the camera Device Settings>Alarm>Trigger Hub Alarm page to turn off it.
2) Go to the Smart Action page to add an Automation entry to trigger the hub alarm when the camera detects events, and you can set the effective time for this Automation entry to work.
How to create Smart Action (automation or a shortcut) of my Tapo devices?
Trigger: when the camera detects motion, person, etc.
Action: Ring the hub Tapo H200
Effective Time: select Custom Time and set the time you want the entry to work.

Thank you for the case report. Regarding the issue:
1) Please help confirm if the Tapo C420 and the hub H200 have the same Time Zone settings and if not, please correct the device's time zone.
2) If you have more than one camera, please check if the other camera has the same Alarm settings.
3) Please try to reboot the camera and the hub, and then check if the Alarm feature will work fine.
4) If the problem remains, please let me know when(time, date, and time zone) did you hear an unexpected alarm.

I can confirm that all 4 cameras and the hub are set to the same time. They have also all been rebooted.
The hub alarm still goes off when scheduled not to.
Eg the garden camera just now triggered the hub alarm. 7.19pm 26th may uk. Please can you help.

Please check if the hub and the camera have the latest firmware.
How to update the firmware of Tapo devices in the Tapo App?
And please send me the MAC address of the camera and the hub via private message to double-check.

Hi,
Thank you for the detailed device info via private message.
I double-checked the camera alarm feature and found that the Tapo C420 has the Alarm feature itself, when it detects an event, it can alarm itself and also trigger the Hub alarm when the 'Trigger Hub Alarm' feature is enabled. However, the Alarm Schedule configured on the Camera Alarm page applies to the camera itself rather than the hub.
